Frequently Asked Questions
Is our work confidential?
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP and I am bound by their professional codes of conduct regarding confidentiality and ethical practice. Confidentiality is an important part of a counselling session and I hope that you will come to feel comfortable enough to discuss anything with me. There are some limitations that I can discuss with you in more detail during our first session together. In essence, I will only breach confidentiality, if you tell me something that indicates that you are at immediate risk of seriously harming yourself or someone else. Feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have.
